Edward W. Ahart
As Chairman, Ed brings with him decades of professional and personal leadership experience. Ed earned his undergraduate degree from Lafayette College and continued to Cornell University Law School where he obtained his law degree.
Upon finishing law school, Ed has spent his career as a business law attorney with Schenck Price Smith & King, LLP in Morristown, NJ. He co-chairs both the Corporate and Business Practice Group as well as its Nonprofit Organizations Practice Group. He has been widely recognized as one of New Jersey’s leading business attorneys, a noted business leader and an active and committed leader in the community. Ed’s practice focuses on advising both for-profit and nonprofit entities, their owners, directors/trustees and managers on all aspects of creating and running these organizations.
He has extensive experience in leadership roles with both for-profit and nonprofit entities, having chaired boards of directors in multiple non-profit sectors, both large and small, including those in higher education, national health and wellness, community interest groups, the arts, and organizations supporting the development of businesses and communities. Ed hopes to honor Cliff and Mimi by providing leadership and guidance to the Foundation as one having a positive impact on the greater good of the community and in that way, appropriately honor its creators.
